International workshop on Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods
About workshop
Workshop aims to expose the participants towards qualitative research methods, developing
questionnaire, participation recruitment and methods of data collection. The workshop is intended
for those who conduct research or manage research projects. People who are new to qualitative
research and those with previous experience are welcome to join the program

Dr Jeemon Panniyammakal, Assistant Professor (Epidemiology), Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for
Medical Sciences and Technology, Dr Jeemon Panniyammakal, Assistant Professor
(Epidemiology), Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum,
India, holds a PhD research degree in medical cardiology (Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology:
2012) from the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences, University of Glasgow with
fellowship support from the 'Wellcome Trust-Public Health Foundation of India-and the UK
Universities consortium' (WTP-UKC).
Elizabeth Rhodes, PhD, SM is a mixed-methods researcher whose work focuses on nutrition and
non-communicable diseases. She has conducted qualitative research in South Asia, Sub-Saharan
Africa, and Latin America. She has experience in study design, data collection, and training field
teams. Currently, Dr. Rhodes is managing a large qualitative research component of a mixedmethods study to evaluate a lifestyle intervention to prevent and control diabetes in India. Dr.
Rhodes is a US National Institutes of Health (NIH) Fogarty Global Health Fellow. She earned a
PhD in Nutrition and Health Sciences from Emory University and a SM in Social and Behavioral
Sciences from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health.
